On paper this one seems a lock but factor in   the fact that the Roosters come in having dropped games to two teams in the bottom four of the division and one has to think there is a chance the roosters are ripe for a first round exit although maybe the Jailbirds are just what the Roosters need to get back on track to reach back to back finals.

Agincourt vs Birchmount

 

The champs had a less than stellar start to the season at one point being last in the division looking over the hill and seeming as if their championship glories were a memory in the past but then suddenly became the hottest team down the stretch ripping off 6 in a row to finish the year as the hottest team going into the playoffs. They face another team that has sort of lost its way over the summer of 2019. This is however the very same team that only a number of years ago lifted the kings cup with almost the same roster and came into the playoff at a lower seed so they can never be overlooked.

Junction vs Riverdale

 

Junction led by Andreas “the giant” who virtually did not give up a run until the end of the year making him a co favourite to win pitcher of the year. Who is the other co favourite? That would be Scott Baker who has been a workhorse for the Spartans and with the suddenly hot homerun bat of Lorne Williams the Spartans look to pull off a heist in the first round.

Don Mills VS Van Horne

 

The battle of the managers. Childhood friends Angelo and Albert finally meet in the playoffs! Don Mills has had an up and down season mostly due to inconsistent relief pitching and bats going missing at the wrong time but are always a dangerous team. Add to the mix “Murphy law” and now you have a team that has the goods to make noise in the playoffs. The Vipers have never won a playoff game and now maybe the time to change that all. Dan Long is easily the viper with the most venom and can flat out dominate on the mound and at the plate. If Vipers execute their plan of getting Dan in around the 3rd inning with a tied game or lead then the odds tip heavily in their favour.
