LATE RALLY SEALS THE WIN 

The 2017 Kings Conference all-star game pitting East vs West went down at 10 am at the Hood on Sat July 8th. The weather was perfect and all 19 players involved were in a good mood leading to first pitch. 

 

In the first inning the West managed to work three walks and a Gary Massey bloop single into a run giving them a 1-0 lead. In the second inning starting pitcher Rob Skasko managed to retire the East without a run to complete his day of pitching and Naazim Sufi (who pitched 4complete innings) also managed to finish the second with no runs.

 

In the third Albert Meskawy came in for the West. With a 1-0 lead in the fourth the East capitalized on a a few walks and hits to score three runs to put the East up 3-1. 

 

After a scoreless fifth (Andreas Constantinou closed out the third and pitched the fourth) Gary Massey came on for the East and pitched a scoreless inning. 

In the sixth the West managed to put up five runs highlighted by Rob Skasko's bases loaded double. Rob Irvine ended the game with two strikeouts picking up the save and giving the West a 6-3 win. 

 

Rob Skasko turned out to be the Kings Playoff MVP with his stellar pitching and the game winning RBI. It was Great game all around.
