After moving to 8-4 in predictions here we go again.........
Warden Vs Cedarbrae
After getting thumped by the Junction last time out the boys from Warden could be looking another long afternoon when they face the top dogs in the Kings in the Cedarbrae Storm who come into this one still unbeaten after easily dispatching the lowly Don Mills BJs 14-1. Nick Wadden will have his hands full here having to deal with the tough Cedarbrae arms who have only allowed 6 runs this year.
Prediction: Cedarbrae by 5
Birchmount Vs Don Mills
After ditching the Masons nickname then going out and pounding the Vipers last time out, Jerome Persaud and his merry band of Burbarians host a bird hunting party at the Haig against the Blue Jays. After laying a beatdown on the Vipers last time out the feast should continue against a Don Mills team that has allowed the most hits (44). Look for Gary Massey to have a bounce back game here but the the bullpen to implode against a momentum building batting lineup that is starting to mesh. Momentum on the other side of the ball should also grow as Joe Resendes continues to get comfortable pitching in the TBLand Persaud comes in to get pop ups with his eephus daggers.
Prediction Birchmount by 4
Riverdale Vs Junction
The main event of the weekend pits the best of both worlds to a tune of 61-5. As in Junction's most runs scored (66) vs Riverdale's least runs allowed (5). Word on the street is that Robert Irvine will likely miss this one due to birth of his twins who are due to be born on game day but with Anthony Mcdonald and Steven Parsons combining for 6 Homeruns to go with 15 RBIs last time out Riverdale will be able to put up runs. With Ace Rob Skasko rounding into form this one could come down to pitching but this is too tough to call and I will not touch this game with a 10 ft pole.
Prediction: No line
Lock of the week
Van Horne Vs Agincourt
It was overheard by a few spectators at the recent blowout of the Hitmen at the hands of the Spartans that they feel sorry for whoever the Hitmen play next because they will be eager to put that game in the past and move on by blasting their next opponent. They will be in luck because they will play the worst team in the division in the Van Horne Vipers. Good news for the Hitmen. Bad news for the Vipers.
Prediction: Hitmen by 8
