QUESTIONS ARE ANSWERED AFTER THE MID WAY POINT OF 2013
6/21/2013

It's hard to believe that the 2013 season is already coming up to the half way point. Doubts have been erased and questions have been answered.

Here are some of the questions this past winter that are wondered no more....

Would Tier 2 fly?

A resounding yes! What started off as maybe 2 for sure teams (Riverdale and Leaside) has now turned into 6 highly competitive squads all vying for a worthy championship. The hitting has been solid and the pitching is getting fine tuned. Next year it will be hard to keep new teams out of this division

Eglinton and Scarborough. The last 2 teams to enter division 2

Will Roncesvalles get their shit together?

Looking at the standings you would say no, but if you have been closely following this team, you can see that Greg Majster is getting back to his legendary form,Joe Callaghan is still practicing his wizardry and scheduling is a problem of the past. Getting all three of their stars on the field at the same time still poses a problem but when it happens, opposing teams are in trouble.

Joe Callaghan makes Ronci hard to beat when he takes the field

How will the ailing arms of the Beach survive in 2013?

At the start of the season the Dusters looked really good with the addition of Matt Strevens. But the curse that was put on by the former Beach team (Blaze) is still alive and Strevens is now out with elbow problems. The Beach are now looking for a permanent team doctor.

Matt Strevens was well on his way to a stellar Rookie season before his injury

How will Warden fair in Tier 2?

Some may have thought they would dominate but most new what has transpired. The Warriors are right in the thick of things and are in tough. They however are having a blast playing and the days of being no hit and shut out are no more. In fact they are now the premier pitching team in their division.

Tom Haivarlis is crushing the competition in 2013

Will Kevin Leach be able to go through 2013 injury free?

Unfortunately, no. In 6 games Leach has only pitched 14 Innings. Tightness in his forearm has limited Kevin this year. Or maybe EY is just taking it easy on him, and the fireballer will be unleashed in the playoffs. Either way, it could be a matter of time for Leach's ridiculous torque to eventually break.

This is why Leach has been one of the best in the biz.

How will Don Valley fair in Tier 1?

Sadly, not so well. In 6 game the Vikings have only mustered 5 runs. In fact their numbers suggest they are worse than the team they broke away from, The Warden Warriors. But new management has been brought in and Angelo Nitzis who helped Don Valley score a team high 4 runs last week, will look to right the ship the rest of the way.

The Tao of Nitzis. Will Angelo's philosophy work for the Vikings?
