Streaks and Trends by the numbers.
Hits - Jack Cherry is a hitting machine this year. With a couple games left he is 3 hits shy of the TBL record of 45 set way back in 2011 by Derek Young
HR - After this weekend the race should be over for the long ball lead. Jeff Snow's first career dinger was @ Oakridge Hill. Can you believe Rob Leth had 17 last year?
RBI - Nick Wadden has come on strong in 2012. With 29 ribeyes he has far surpassed last years total of 12. Look for him to get a few more walks down the stretch
BB- the TBL loves to give long walks on the Beach. The Dusters have shattered last years mark of 58. Duco and company currently have walked 101 times. Really?
Putouts- Leth and Snow are once again the leaders in flashing the leather. This race will go down to the wire. Nice to see Gary Massey leading a busy Warriors defence.
Wins- Stoner and Leach could tie the record of 11 set by Joe Callaghan last year. No team has had 2 pitchers in the top 5 in wins until Parejo and Snow of Leslieville
Strikeouts- Leach has run away from the pack. Rockets rookie Jassa Cambell has 45 in 38 innings. The Saints have found a K machine in Marc D.
Saves- Scotland is spelling relief for the Heat. 5 saves is impressive in a league where closers are becoming extinct.
ERA- can anyone score a run off of Art Stoner? Besides giving up a Dinger to Leslieville's OZ, this Bear has protected his cubs in a ravenous fashion.
