Whilst the 2016 season is on the horizon, the prior season saw the Heights budda bing, bang, boom through many one run games and a few extra inning games as well. Some of which they were victorious and some of which they weren't. Execution through the late innings of games is going to be key for Cliffsides campaign.

The team located furthest east in the city playing out of the Premier conference, Cliffside, looks for an above .500 winning record at the end of the year for the first time entering their third season.

The core of Ashley Allinson, Gino Collura, Rob Sanfrancesco and Mike Horton are back and ready to roll up on the other

2015 Preview

For Cliffside, things are coming together and are on the up-and-up… right in time with the start of the 2015 TBL Season.

A year ago, it was the inaugural cherry-popping season, filled with growing pains that were evident as players from the team had to learn the hard way dealing with plinko-like outfield trees, running around in unfamiliar ballparks, not knowing where the potholes were located and where the slanted grounds of the outfields were.

Perhaps it showed, as “The Heights” finished with a sub-500 regular season record.

However, after notching a solid post-season run under their belt (putting the team on the map), the boys will look to use some of that experience and turn it into a plus -500 regular season record… and then some.
They'll go back at it in 2015 with mostly familiar faces on the roster and a couple new additions.

Perhaps, “The Heights” biggest off-season move looks to be the signing of burby legend Ashley Allinson.

Cliffside are confidant this acquisition will pay off dividends at the plate. The hopes are that Allinson's 2 x TBL championship rings will be the veteran presence this young team needs to take it to the next level in 2015.

Allinson is stoked for the opportunity to play in the TBL again and is looking forward to seeing a lot of familiar faces… and to the challenge of facing all the new talent. This time around, his bat will be doing the talking.

ASHLEY ALLINSON WILL INJECT NEW LIFE INTO THE HEIGHTS

Here are some lofty heights from Cliffside.......

Mike Horner enters the season with the growing reputation of his dangerous bat.
2015 predictions: .369 batting average, 3 home runs, 20 rbi's

Robbie Sanfrancesco had a stellar start on the hill a year ago. Was it beginners luck or will he follow it up with the classic sophomore slump.
2015 prediction: 40 innings pitched, 2.90 era, 20 strike outs.

Gino Collura carries the manager of the year award into the new season.
2015 predictions: 124 innings pitched, 3.50 era, 40 walks, 41 strike outs.

Ashley Allinson looks to show the world that George "Babe" Herman Ruth was no joke.
2015 predictions: .391 batting average, 4 home runs, 34 rbi's.

2014 SEASON PREVIEW:

The wait is finally over for the squad from Cliffside (which is located no further than a twenty minute stumble from the famous heights of the Scarborough Bluffs) to begin their inaugural season in the most prestige wallball league around. They have actually hosted wallball leagues in their hood in years past but not one that was spread throughout the entire city like the TBL.

With an arsenal of burby veterans on the roster, The Heights will look to shoot out of the gate quick and try to find their mid-season form early on.

They will enter the 2014 campaign with three rookies on the roster and a 2nd year player in Shooter McGavin who was nominated for rookie of the year and MVP in the 2013 campaign while playing for The Don Valley Vikings.

This lineup has a fine balance in all departments of the game; defense, pitching and offense. They will look to show it when the first pitch of the season is hurled in April 2014.
