Going now into their 4th season as the Don Mills Blue Jays, they are looking to bounce back after falling to a 6th place finish last year in the Kings Conference, going 6-8. This of course was a result of getting off to their usual slow start in the 1st half of the season, and this squad is determined to not fall behind the 8-ball early and come out of the gate firing on all cylinders this time and not waiting until July or August to get it going.

The roster will feature returnees Angelo Nitzis, Gary Massey, Kevin Sleigh and Darryl Barnett. It will also mark the return of Tony Shearn, who has played the last couple of seasons with the Riverdale Spartans. The roster looks to be solid all around as usual.

Kings seems to be as open as ever in all its years, with both the Cedarbrae Storm and Agincourt Hitmen winning the last 2 Kings Cups in dominant fashion and have taken their talents to the more pitching-heavy Premier Conference. After the Junction Cobra Kai, who finished 11-3 last season everyone else remaining was either just over .500 or worse so that gives you an idea of how open it can be in 2019.

If Don Mills can ever get put it together with pitching and hitting at the same time much like they did in 2017 when they had their best season, going 9-5 with a berth in the semi-finals they could be as good as anyone to try and go on a deep run. And these are older dudes that are not getting any younger but very passionate about playing the game of burby. Back to the fields we go once again!!!
